Sequoia Grove

Sequoia Grove is a solo metal project from Odense, Denmark, forged in 2006 and relentlessly active ever since. Influenced deeply by the foundational work of Bathory, Rotting Christ, and Fleshgod Apocalypse, the project weaves together thundering death metal riffs, sweeping symphonic orchestration, and folk instrumentation — all bound by the spirit of the Norse world.

Thematically, the music ranges across Viking mythology and Eddic legend, the dark fantasy of Midgard, dystopia, horror, and the cold indifference of nihilism and atheism. These are not decorative themes but the genuine obsessions of a single restless creator pouring years of vision into sound.

The discography tells an evolving story — from the grim, orchestral death metal assault of Soaked in Blood and the grindcore-tinged nihilism of It's A Riot, to the mythology-drenched epic scope of Tales from Midgard and the monumental full-length statement of Shadows From Midgard (2025). Singles and companion releases run in parallel, each exploring a distinct angle of the same relentless creative universe.
